David Morris

David joined EWS in September 2007. He graduated from the University of Nottingham where he studied French and German. His language skills meant he was perfectly placed to help us build our business in France.

David picks up the story:

“When I joined EWS I was immediately seconded to the Paris office of our French subsidiary, Euro Cargo Rail.

I have been involved in a number of projects. One of these included checking pricing structures for access to the rail network in France.  I also worked in operations development where I was involved in identifying how we could maximise the use of resources.

I have been able to travel to sites across France, and have had the opportunity to work and be in contact with people of many different backgrounds, ranging from members of senior management in the UK to train drivers themselves. The opportunities which I have had in such a short space of time make me glad to have joined EWS, and it is for this reason in particular that I would recommend EWS to any future graduates.”
